An invitation to see nature as our teacher, asking us to slow down, observe, and listen.
Biophilia reaches beyond the canvas. In virtual reality, each painting becomes a place, a living, three-dimensional world you can move through.
There is a quiet wisdom in nature.
Nothing rushes to become. Rivers find their way, trees reach toward the light, and life unfolds in rhythms of movement and rest. Somewhere along the way, we learned to separate ourselves from this rhythm, to search outside of ourselves for the clarity, balance, and belonging that nature has been reflecting back to us all along.
Biophilia is an immersive art experience that explores the intimate relationship between the human body and the natural world. Through painting, virtual reality, sound, and digital media, the project dissolves the boundaries between human and nature, inviting us to remember that we are not simply observers of the natural world, we are part of it.
Supported by the Georgia Tech Arts Catalyst Grant, Biophilia is an evolving body of work and the beginning of a larger exploration of connection, presence, and our innate relationship with the living world.
